Abrasion resistance
The material forming the inner layer of the pipes ensures extraordinary abrasion resistance (40 times greater than steel), in line with the long-term performance required for dredging operations, during which the transport of sand, sludge, and other solid residues - even at high flow velocities - could cause erosion of the pipe’s inner wall.
Chemical and electrochemical corrosion resistance
The significant chemical inertness of this pipe range allows long-term use with seawater and air mixtures used in dredging, which are generally highly corrosive to pipes made of metallic materials, thereby preserving the integrity of the structures over time.
If it is necessary to assess the chemical resistance of EURODREDGE pipes, information can be obtained from international guidelines (e.g., ISO/TR 10358).
