EUROTUBI pipes are used in heating systems as protective casing of the combination
"steel pipe - insulating material" employed to convey hot fluids from thermic–power
plants to industrial or household units.
PE characteristics of lightness and cost efficiency, matched with its mechanical
and thermic properties, make PE pipes ideal as insulator protections granting the
correct functioning of the systems.
In addition to casing pipes, EUROTUBI manufactures the so-called "overcasing", i.e.
thermo shrinkable muffs used to protect pipe joints. EUROTUBI has built a considerable
experience with these products during the last years: experimenting with different
materials and helped by its customers feedback, has achieved a reliable performace
standard. This performance is confirmed by the excellent results obtained in soil
stress tests (as from the EN489 standard, please check our Certifications
page for details).
Building on its experience with both pipes for water supply and casing for district
heating systems, EUROTUBI has developed a line of preinsulated bonded systems with
PE100 internal service pipe. Though these products are not suited for district heating
(nontheless they could be used for transport of warm water with temperatures up
to 40°C), they are particularly indicated for cooling fluids transport, e.g. as
required for conditioning systems of large buildings. A different but most succesful
application of these products is to prevent icing of transported water in cold enviroments
such as in high altitudes above ground pipelines, mostly in northern regions and
countries.
