After fifty years of successful use all over the world,
polyethylene pipes can be regarded as an excellent solution to the many problems
found in the waterworks field.
The evolution of this polymer granted a substantial improvement of the pipe mechanical,
chemical and hydraulic performance while the optimization of junction and laying
techniques improved the reliability of PE pipelines.
EUROTUBI Management have always been at the cutting edge concerning raw material
technological innovations; for years they have been present on the market with products
manufactured both with traditional polyethylene PE 80 and innovative PE 100. The
PE 100 pipes, especially for better pressure and section performances than PE 80
pipes due to mechanical properties of PE 100 raw material, are nowadays leader of
the market and they are considered as the standard pipe for the pressure-water systems.
The European standard EN 12201: "Plastic piping systems for water supply" was translated
into all the most important European languages becoming the reference standard for
all countries of the European Community.
Though the Italian version of this standard, UNI EN 12201, reduced the SDR range
allowed by EN 12201 in order to simplify stock management, on the foreign market
EUROTUBI offer the complete SDR range, according to the appropriate standards, to
meet the more various requirements.
It is important to stress that it is an integral part of the certification process
the verification of compliance with Italian legislative requirements on the matter
of drinkable water. Furthermore, our products are also certified according to UNI
EN 1622/EN 1622 to prove the absence of effects on water odour and flavour.
Compliance to non-Italian legislative requirements (e.g. the French "Attestation
de conformite sanitaire") is pursued according to our custumers' needs.
The PE100 compounds EUROTUBI uses for water supply applications are procured from
the main European producers and are themselves certified for this intended use.
This assures the raw materials we use benefit the widest compliance to national
laws, both at the European and international level.

CHARACTERISTICS
Polyethylene pipes for the transport of pressure fluids are identified by a blue
marking and bear a series of co-extruded indelible blue stripes to ascertain their
use. The main advantages granted by EUROTUBI water pipes can be summarised as follows:
|
-
|
ease, reliability and cost efficiency of jointing and laying operations;
|
|
-
|
pipe atoxicity;
|
|
-
|
excellent resistance to water hammer phenomena;
|
|
-
|
absence of scale on inside walls and, as a result, consistency of the pipeline hydraulic
performance;
|
|
-
|
immunity to corrosion phenomena and subsequent great economic advantages brought
by the absence of cathode protections.
